RIVER CRUISE AND EASTERN PARTS 17 days

Reception at the hotel after breakfast. Road to Antsirabe for about 5 hours. In Ambatolampy visit of a workshop of recycling of broken aluminium to make kitchen utensils. Continuation to destination. Upon arrival, check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, visit of the city. Dinner and overnight stay.

Road to Lake Tritriva, located 17 km from Antsirabe with 7 km of paved road and 10 km of dirt road to enjoy the view on the Vakinankaratra region. Then continuation towards the destination. Passage by villages of gold diggers. At the arrival, check-in. Dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to the small village of Masiakampy for about 1h30. Upon arrival, board a motorboat and begin the descent of the river. The navigation lasts 6 to 7 hours per day. Lunch by the river. The first day on the river, you will enjoy the beauty of the landscape, the people, the villages, the fishermen. Disembarkation on the shore in the late afternoon to spend the night in a campsite (full board). Dinner under the moonlight and a sky full of stars.

In the morning, departure from the campsite to reach the beautiful waterfall of Anosin'ampela. A place where you can bathe and take a bath before continuing on the river. Passing through the gorges of Bemaraha. You can see lemurs, water birds, bats... Lunch by the river. Dinner and overnight camping (full board).

Last morning on the river until Belo on Tsiribihina where you will meet the driver after lunch. Then continuation towards Bekopaka. The rest of the day will be devoted to this long journey on track to the Tsingy, hidden in the bush. In Bekopaka, night.

Morning excursion by pirogue in the Manambolo gorges to see the caves of stalactites and stalagnites, and the ancient tombs of the Vazimba people, then road to Big Tsingy which is 17km from the village of Bekopaka that you reach by car and accompanied by your guide. The hike takes about 5 to 6 hours. You will be equipped with harnesses to explore the Tsingy, 30 to 50 m high, in complete safety. Wooden walkways and bridges, well integrated into the landscape, will allow you to continue the visit more easily. Picnic lunch inside the park. Return by car to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Morning, off-road driving towards the forest of Kirindy. Stop at Belo sur Tsiribihina for lunch then crossing of the Tsiribihina river by ferry. Driving to the destination. Settling in the hotel before the evening walk in the forest to see several species of nocturnal lemurs, jumping rats (if we are lucky) and some reptiles. Dinner and overnight stay.

Guided morning walk in the forest of Kirindy. Observe the two species of lemurs as well as the fauna and flora of the western dry forest and the Fosa. Then return to Morondava in the afternoon and wait for the sunset at the Avenue des Baobabs. Continuation to the hotel in the evening, Dinner and overnight.

Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Antananarivo. Upon arrival, drive to the hotel. Lake Tsarasaotra to see the aquatic birds. After the visit on the way to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Sainte Marie. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel and rest of the day free in a hotel on the beach. Dinner and overnight stay.
